How to Enable File Explorer’s Dark Theme in Windows 10


Microsoft is famous as it keeps rolling out updates for its renowned product Windows - an operating system on which a system runs. In the latest version by Microsoft, Windows 10 with various other features is offering an opportunity to its users to change and set the File Explorer’s theme to dark mode. Even though ability to turn on the dark theme is not a new feature, yet many people are unaware of it.

Previously when the user activated the dark theme in Windows 10, they found that the theme is effective only on the preinstalled apps like Calendar, Mail, Windows Store, etc. It indicated that the dark theme is not effective on the File Explorer. It is stated that in the new upcoming Windows 10 version 1809, Microsoft will let the users activate the dark theme which anyone can apply with the help of Colors. The option can be found in the Personalization Settings window.

1.       Either click Settings from Start Menu or press Windows Key + I buttons from your keyboard.
2.       Now, the Settings of your computer will open.
3.       Now, go to Personalization and click Colors option.
4.       Scroll down to navigate Choose your default app mode.
5.       Now, select the Dark option.
Once you select the Dark theme option, you will notice the theme has changed immediately. You will notice the dark themed Settings app. When open other applications, they all will be appear in dark mode.
