Four ways to fix “Unable to Verify Update” iOS error
Many of the Apple users are running into the "Unable to
Verify Update" error when trying to install iOS 11 or iOS 11.2. Regular
updates of the official versions are available that Apple releases to the
public after having completed its testing on all devices. If you are unable to
verify the regular update, here we have four solutions that will help you
troubleshoot this error.
Before you begin: Make sure your Apple device is connected to
the Internet when you are performing this fix, it’s imperative that you're
connected to a home network, as many company networks may tend to filter out
the connection to Apple's servers.
Shut Down
the Settings App
The very first thing we recommend you to do is:
1.
Shut down the Settings app.
2.
Tap twice on the Home button.
3.
Then you will need to swipe up on the Settings app
until it slides out of view.
4.
Now you have to click the Setting from home screen.
5.
And then go to General then Software Update.
6.
Now you’ve got to try installing the software update
again.
Refresh
your iPhone or IPad
If shutting down the settings doesn’t fix the problem, you
can try this method:
1. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons
simultaneously for minimum 10 seconds.
2. Then you will find the Apple logo; now you may let go
of both buttons after you see the Apple logo.
3. Your phone will go through the standard process of
starting up.
4.
You’ll be back in your home screen.
5.
This will refresh the memory of your device and solve
loads of problems.
Remove the
Update
If refreshing your device also doesn’t work, you can try
removing the deleting the update of your device. To do so, follow the steps
given below:
1.
Go to the Settings of your iOS device.
2.
Tap on General option.
3.
Then click Storage and iCloud Usage.
4.
Select the Manage Storage option. You will find it
under Storage.
5.
Then you will need to locate the iOS software download
in the list.
6.
After you discover the iOS software download, click on
it.
7.
Tap on Delete Update option and confirm that you want
to remove it from your device. You can now try to install the update again.
Hard Reset
Your Device
If any of the solutions mentioned above denies working, you
can try a hard reset on your device. To do so follow the given steps:
Note: Back up all of your data and important files before
beginning with this process. Thus, the hard reset entirely erases all the
contents from your device. So if you still have any documents, contacts,
videos, photos, or anything that you want to back up, please do it before performing
a hard rest.
1.
Open the Setting.
2.
Click on General option.
3.
Scroll to the top of bottom and tap on the Reset
option.
4.
Then confirm to erase all contents and settings of
your iPhone or iPad.
5.
Your device will then start restoring the phone to its
original factory state.
Conclusion: These four guidelines will fix any of the
problems your device is going through with regular Apple updates and can let
you upgrade your device to the latest version of iOS.
