How to Cool Down an Overheated iPhone

Many people complain that their iPhones get overheated. Some iPhone owners discover that their phones heat up even when they are switched off. Well, if you use your iPhone for quite an extended time, then it may get a bit warm. But if your iPhone heats p quite often, then it may also affect the iPhone’s battery. Here are the ways to cool down a heated iPhone:

Ensure that apps and services such as Safari, Maps, locations services, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi are powered off. To check this, just go to the Settings app, tap on General and select Software updates. If an update is available, then install it.
If your device synchronises via iTunes, then it is rather easy. Choose the iPhone, and then tap on Summary. Now, you will be able to see whether the most recent iOS is installed or not.
  1. Cool down the iPhone
Well, if you get any notification stating overheating issue, then just power off the phone. After that, place it in a cool and dry place. Now, you don’t have to put it in the freezer, but a relatively cooler and shady place will be perfect. For instance, place it near the air conditioning vent. Ideally, you should keep it powered off for around one hour.
  1. Remove the cover
While adding a robust cover on your iPhone is a good safety measure, it could cause overheating issues. iPhone covers make the device hot. Therefore, when you feel that your iPhone is getting heated up, uncover it for a while.
  1. Do not leave it in the car
While there are laws regarding leaving babies unattended in vehicles, there is no such law for iPhones. Often in a rush, people leave their iPhones on the dashboard and go shopping. Well, the car gets very hot, and this affects the iPhone. If you absolutely do have to leave it in the car, then at least turn on the air conditioning.
  1. Keep the iPhone out of direct sunlight
While chilling on the beach, you may want to record all the precious moments with your friends by snapping images and videos. iPhones come with a powerful camera, but you should not leave them uncovered under direct sun.
